Note 1: If you have the Bright White only Halo, you will need to install the LED controller unit first. Once installed:
- A) Installing a single light kit – connect the 2 into 1 “Y” connector (see pic.) to the power lead from the LED controller
- B) Installing multiple light kits – connect the 4 into 1 “Y” connector (see pic.) to the power lead from the LED controller
Note 2: If you have the Multi Color Halo, the LED controller has been installed.
- A) Installing a single light kit – connect the 2 into 1 “Y” connector (see pic.) to the accessory power lead
- B) Installing multiple light kits – connect the 4 into 1 “Y” connector (see pic.) to the accessory power lead
Step 1: Installing LED Controller unit:
- a) Remove maintenance access panel
- b) Route the power cable from the LED Controller unit (red and black wires) along and under the upper A-Arm, on the left side of the Spyder.
- c) Locate and disconnect the fender LED power connector from under the A-Arm cover
- d) Connect the female LED Controller connector into the male connector on the Spyder
- e) Connect the male LED Controller connector in the female connector on the Spyder
- f) Route the LED Controller module to a location under the Maintenance Access Panel
- g) Connect the black barrel connector (red and black wires) to the white barrel connect on LED controller
- h) If installing only one LED accessory, skip to LED Under Glow installation for F3.
- i) If connecting more than one LED accessory, connect the 4 into 1 “Y” connector to the LED Controller.
Under Glow LED Installation for F3
Installing the under glow LEDs: The under glow LEDs are mounted in the center of the 4” x 35” flat frame piece
- a) Clean and degrease center frame surface area with Isopropyl Alcohol.
- b) Check fit before removing the protective tape.
- c) Apply adhesive activator and let try for 3 – 5 minutes
- d) With the connectors facing the front of the Spyder, remove the protective tape from the back of the LEDs and mount them to the frame.
- e) After adhering lights to frame rail, zip tie lights to the frame. Do not over snug the zip ties or you risk cutting the lights.
- f) Feed the “y” connector back up through the underside of the Spyder and connect to the extension wire
- g) If you have the Multi Color Halo Skid, connect the wire from the under glow LED to the “A” (Accessory) wire. If you have the K-6000 White Only Halo Skid, connect the extension wire to the LED Controller unit or to the 4 into 1 “Y” connector at the LED controller.
- h) Verify LED lights work.
Saddle Bag Under Glow LED Installation for F3
Install the saddle bag under glow LEDs: Under glow LEDs are mounted on the inside edge on the bottom of the saddle bag (black plastic)
Remove the panels in the picture below.

- a) Clean surface area with Isopropyl Alcohol.
- b) Check fit before removing the protective tape
- c) With the connectors facing the front of the Spyder, remove the protective tape from the back of the LEDs and mount them to the bottom of the saddle bag (black plastic)
- d) On the right side, feed the LED light connector up to the area under the passenger seat.
- e) Route the wire through the space shown below.
- f) Connect the LED light connector into one of the 2 into 1 “Y” connector leads
- g) On the left side feed the LED light connector up to the area under the passenger seat.
- h) Connect the lift side LED to the 2 into 1 “Y” connector
- i) Connect the extension wire to the single wire end of the 2 into 1 “Y” connector
- j) Feed the extension wire along the frame to the front of the Spyder
- k) Connect the extension wire to the LED Controller unit or to the 4 into 1 “Y” connector at the LED controller.
- l) Verify the LED lights work
Front Grill Under Glow LED installation F3
Install the front grill under glow LEDs: Under glow LEDs are mounted to the bottom of the tub (black plastic) as far to the rear as possible.
- Inside the front grill area, there are approximately 12 push pins holding the black plastic tub in place. Remove these to allow for movement when you are trying to feed the LED wire through the appropriate hole.
- Left side or right side does not matter. There is a wire from the radiator fan that goes through the back of the “fire wall”. By pushing on the side of the tub, you can increase the hole size to allow you to feed the grill LED wire. I used a screw driver to assist with the hole expansion. (View looking down left side to “fire wall”
- Once the wire if fed through the hole, clean surface of the tub with Isopropyl Alcohol and let dry
- Check fit before removing the protective tape
- Apply adhesive activator and let dry.
- Remove the protective tape from the back of the LEDs and mount them to the bottom of the tub (black plastic)
- Connect the wire to the LED Controller unit or to the 4 into 1 “Y” connector at the LED controller.
- Verify the LED lights work
Side Panel Under Glow LED installation F3
Install the body under glow LEDs: Side Panel Under Glow LEDs are mounted to the back side of the large body panel.
a) On the back side of the large body pane, place the LED lights so the end with the connector is towards the front. You may need to remove some of the foam from the large body panel. If you do, place LED lights on top of the foam, with a sharpie or other marker, draw a line on the foam. This is the line you will use as a guide for the cut. Take a sharp razor blade and cut the foam and then remove the piece you just cut.
b) There is smaller piece of foam next to the piece you just cut that will need to be carefully lifted up.
c) Clean surface of the panel with Isopropyl Alcohol and let dry
- d) Check fit before removing the protective tape
- e) Apply adhesive activator and let dry.
- f) Remove the protective tape from the back of the LEDs and mount them to the inside of the panel as shown below. The wire between the two LED strips will go under the foam that you carefully lifted.
- g) You will then need to mount the panel to the Spyder and the feed the wire up and under the maintenance panel. Connect to one of the leads of the 2 into 1 Y connector. The single lead on the 2 into 1 Y connector will connect to the LED Controller unit or to the 4 into 1 “Y” connector at the LED controller.
- h) Repeat steps a through g for the other side.
- i) Verify the LED lights work
- j) Tidy up the wires and reassemble Spyder.
